Your family’s space

Privacy notice

Updated 31 October 2026

Little Chapters is an invitation-only family-sharing app in early private testing. This notice describes the current prototype and its use of Google Drive.

Information the app uses

The app uses account email addresses and authentication information to sign members in. It stores family membership, audience groups, post captions, publication status, and file references to decide which updates each member may view. Photos and videos are stored in the family owner’s connected Google Drive.

Google Drive access

The family owner chooses whether to connect their Google account. Little Chapters checks the connected account’s email address and requests Google’s drive.file permission: access to see, edit, create, and delete the specific files used with the app.

The app uses that access to create a private media folder, upload app media, check uploads, and deliver media to authorized members. Connection credentials are stored in private backend configuration so the app can request access when the owner is away. They are not supplied to family viewers.

Little Chapters uses Google data only to provide these family-sharing functions. It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising or training general-purpose AI models.

Who can access content

The family owner manages membership and audiences. Drafts are restricted to the owner; published updates are available to active members whose audience groups match. App operators may access information when necessary to maintain the service or respond to a support request.

Google Drive stores media. Supabase provides authentication and stores app records. Cloudflare hosts web content and, when the hosted backend is used, handles authorized media requests. These providers process information needed to deliver and secure their services under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention, removal, and your choices

Content is kept until the family owner removes it. During early testing, contact the owner or the support address below for account or content removal. Removing an account does not by itself delete posts supplied by the family owner.

You can revoke the app’s Google authorization through Google Account connections. Revocation prevents further authorized Drive access by the app; it does not delete files already stored in your Drive. The Drive owner can manage those files directly.

Removing a member’s audience access or unpublishing an update prevents future access when permissions are checked. Content already displayed, captured, or buffered cannot be recalled.

Family photos and children

Family content may include children. The family owner decides what to share and with whom. Contact the owner or support if you have a concern about access to or removal of family content.

Device storage and this website

The private app stores sign-in session information on your device and temporarily holds media while displaying it. This public information site uses no advertising or analytics scripts. The hosting provider may process request information to operate and secure the site.
